The BCAPA, established in 1997, whose mission is to provide additional theatrical performing and learning opportunities to young adults in the greater Bucks County area, are best known for their annual benefit performances.  One in the spring to raise money for the BC/EFA organization and AIDS awareness is done in partnership with the Pennsbury High School Gay Straight Alliance.  The other called “Toys for Tunes” is a winter holiday performance done in partnership with the Pennsbury High School Foreign Language Club in order to collect toys which are distributed to local area shelters.

The BCAPA participated in the 2004 NY International Fringe Festival with an original children’s musical production of “Rapunzel”, with script, songs and lyrics by Eric Stedman and produces a show every summer including “GODSPELL”, “Starmites” and “Yearbook”.  All of these productions provided local youth with additional opportunities to perform, direct, choreograph, manage stage and props, and even become involved in sound, lighting, and set design.  Creative theater classes for beginners and intermediates, ages 6-13, acting workshops for young adults ages 14 and up, foundations for the creative arts workshops and vocal coaching are all offered by the Academy at reasonable rates year round.
